Powered Lift (VTOL) - SYD
Description
Powered-lift is a category of RPAS Operations using aircraft that take off and land vertically. It starts as a multirotor, before transitioning in flight to a fixed wing platform. These platforms are used for long distance or duration flights where the traditional multirotor is less efficient. For example, forestry, mining, surveying, agriculture, beach or coastal patrols.
Our course allows you to build on your existing RePL to become VTOL approved and is an additional three days of training to your standard RePL. The course focuses on the various types of powered lift platforms, how they operate, mission planning, and the complexities of how they transition between fixed and rotary states. You will spend approximatley 3-4 hours gaining practical flight experience on the platforms and understanding how the systems operate including their behavioral aspects during flight.
We have options for both Sub 7kg and Sub 25kg Powered-Lift categories.
Prerequisites
You must hold a CASA Remote Pilots Licence in order to complete this course.
